Find a Gym Buddy — Meet Someone to train together

A training partner is the biggest consistency upgrade most people never make. Meetzy gets you an ID-verified gym buddy who shows up on the days you'd otherwise skip.

What training with a partner looks like

Someone posts a gym, an area and a slot — say Wednesday 7am, push day. You ask to join, they accept one person, and you sort out the split in chat. After that it's spotting, honest rest times, and 6am leg day becoming survivable because someone's expecting you.

Plans like this tend to suit:

  • anyone whose motivation dies without accountability
  • lifters who need a reliable spotter
  • people new to a gym who want a routine that actually sticks

How joining a plan works

You never browse people on Meetzy — you browse plans. Each one is an activity, an area and a time window, posted by someone who's already ID-verified.

  1. Find a plan to train together near you.
  2. Ask to join, with a one-line hello if you want.
  3. The host accepts one person for a one-on-one plan, or several for a group plan. That's the match.
  4. Profiles unlock, a chat opens, you sort out the details.
  5. Meet up and do the two-part 4-digit check-in.
  6. Review each other afterwards.

No plan that fits? Post your own and let people ask to join you.

Why do it with a verified partner

You're trusting this person with your schedule and occasionally a loaded barbell over your chest. ID verification means your spotter is a real, accountable person. Not a ghost who leaves you training alone at dawn again.

Everyone on Meetzy clears ID verification before they can post or join, and full profiles stay locked until a host has accepted you. Contact details, links and emails are blocked in chat, so the conversation stays on the plan.

You're matching to train together — company for a plan, nothing else. Not a dating app. Not an escort service.

How safety works

No fees, no splits, no money between you — Meetzy is free. Meet at a public commercial gym rather than anyone's home setup, and be honest about your working weights before a spotting session so nobody gets hurt. Do the check-in code at the door and keep all coordination inside the app.

When you meet, one of you reads out a 4-digit code and the other types it in. That's the whole check-in — it only confirms the two of you actually turned up, and it's what unlocks reviews.

Keep the first meet up public, tell a friend where you'll be, and report anything that feels off. Verification, blocked contact sharing and reviews exist so people stay accountable. 🙂
